Frequently Asked Questions
German with Tayyaba — FAQs
Welcome to German with Tayyaba! I am here to help. Ask your questions, share your worries, and let us guide you towards the German course that feels right for you.
Getting Started
How do I register?
Simply send us your full name and the level or course you are interested in — for example, “Sara Ali, A1.” Once we receive your message, we’ll share the remaining details, including the course schedule, fee submission process, and next steps.
Can I get more information before deciding?
Yes, certainly, and thank you for your interest. Let us know which level you’re interested in and whether you’re learning German for studies, work, exam preparation, or personal growth — this helps us guide you properly.
What curriculum do you follow?
All our courses are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR/GER). For A1 to B1, we use Netzwerk neu by Klett. For B2 and C1, we use Kontext, and for C2, we use Erkundungen by Schubert. Specialised courses (grammar, vocabulary, conversation, pronunciation, exam preparation, writing) use a carefully selected combination of materials from Hueber, Klett, Schubert, and Cornelsen.
What does the complete course include?
The complete course covers all four language skills: speaking, writing, listening comprehension, and reading comprehension. It also includes pronunciation practice, grammar and vocabulary development, learning strategies, and cultural knowledge of German-speaking Central Europe.
Can I register for multiple sessions at once?
Technically, yes. However, we don’t recommend taking more than one full-level German course at the same time, especially across different levels — language learning needs time, practice, revision, and regular engagement. We do encourage combining your main course with specialised support courses such as grammar, vocabulary, daily conversation, pronunciation, writing, or exam preparation.
How many seats are available in each session?
An ideal group session includes 12 to 20 participants, allowing a healthy learning environment with interaction, individual attention, and active classroom participation.
How demanding is a language course?
All our courses are designed for serious and motivated learners. They require regular attendance, serious self-study, and consistent practice after class.
Levels, Duration & Fees
What is your course duration and fee structure?
Our general German language courses follow this structure:
- A1: 40 working days — Fee PKR 50,000
- A2: 40 working days — Fee PKR 50,000
- B1: 50 working days — Fee PKR 60,000
- B2: 60 working days — Fee PKR 80,000
- C1: 70 working days — Fee PKR 99,000
- C2: 80 working days — Fee PKR 120,000
Fees for specialised courses may vary according to the course type, duration, and learning goals.
What is A1.1 and A1.2?
A1.1 means the first half of the A1 level. If the A1 book has 12 chapters, A1.1 covers the first 6, along with basic speaking, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and learning strategies. A1.2 covers chapters 7 to 12 and includes further language development along with exam strategies. A1.1 fee is PKR 27,000, while the complete A1 course fee is PKR 50,000.
Is there a special fee for continuing students?
Yes. Students who continue from one level to the next are eligible for an internal student fee of PKR 5,000 off the total course fee.
What fee benefits do you offer?
We offer selected fee benefits for early registrations, continuing students, friends, and students registering together as a group. Only one fee benefit is applicable per course:
- Early Bird Discount — for booking a complete course before the announced deadline
- Internal Student Fee — PKR 5,000 off for learners continuing from the previous level
- Bring-a-Friend — PKR 2,500 off each, for two students registering together in one transaction
- Group Registration — PKR 2,500 off per candidate, for groups of three or more
Can I pay in instalments?
In selected courses, yes — students may pay the course fee in two instalments. Registration is confirmed after the first payment, and the second instalment must be cleared before the second half of the course begins. No fee benefit applies to instalment-based payments, and no further classes are allowed after the first 20 working days until the second instalment is cleared.
It feels like a big one-time investment — can you help?
We understand that the full level fee can feel like a big one-time investment. That’s why we also offer to pay the course fee in two instalments to make the learning journey more manageable. You’re welcome to take your time and decide, and we’re happy to guide you through the course structure and flexible fee plans.
Why does the fee reflect this amount?
The fee reflects not only the course hours, but also the structure, learning strategies, exam insights, individual feedback, and professional guidance you receive throughout the course. The aim is not just to complete the level, but to help learners build real understanding and confidence in German.
Format, Demo & One-on-One Classes
Do you only teach online?
For now, our courses are offered online. This allows us to support learners from different cities and locations with the same care, structure, and quality. And this is only the beginning — we’re ready to grow, if you are.
How can online learning be equal to in-person learning?
There’s no direct comparison between online and in-person learning, as each follows different teaching strategies. Both formats can be equally effective when delivered well — what matters most is the learner’s commitment, discipline, and regular participation. Our instructors have received extensive professional training in effective online engagement strategies, interactive teaching methods, and digital classroom tools that support active language learning.
What do I need for online classes?
To make the most of your online course, you only need a stable internet connection, a computer or laptop, and your camera on during class. Your instructor will guide you through the rest with structure, clarity, and care.
Do you offer a demo session?
We offer a demo session with a registration fee of PKR 1,000. This amount is adjusted into the course fee if you register for the nearest available course.
Do you also offer one-on-one classes?
Yes, we offer both one-on-one and group classes. Group classes are designed for structured learning, interaction, and steady progress with peers. One-on-one classes are more personalised, planned according to the learner’s individual goals, pace, schedule, and specific learning needs. Details are shared according to the learner’s requirements, since both formats differ in teaching strategy and fee structure.
What does a one-on-one class cost?
In-person one-on-one classes are possible in Lahore at the tutor’s approved teaching space. The fee is PKR 24,000 for 8 classes (PKR 3,000 per class, 60 minutes each). For small in-person group classes, the fee is PKR 30,000 for 20 hours. For two people in-person: PKR 2,750/hour per person. For three to five people: PKR 2,500/hour per person. For six and above: PKR 30,000 for 20 hours per person.
Goals, Exams & Moving to Germany
Will I pass the exam after attending the course?
Learners who attend regularly and practise seriously should be well prepared to sit for the Goethe exam with confidence. Exam success also depends on individual consistency and performance on the exam day. For those wanting more focused preparation, we offer specialised exam preparation courses covering exam formats, strategies, model tests, and targeted feedback.
I only need speaking for work — do I need a full course?
Speaking for work is an important skill, but in a foreign language, speaking cannot be learned in isolation — it requires vocabulary, grammar, listening, pronunciation, sentence structure, and regular practice. We strongly recommend a structured German course, so your speaking becomes accurate, confident, and useful in real work situations.
I want to go to Germany and settle there — where do I start?
Our language courses and counselling services are handled separately. For initial guidance about moving to Germany, we can book a proper appointment for you with one of our counsellors, who will guide you according to your profile and goals.
What if I don’t have much time left before travelling to Germany?
You can join A1.1 right away and work intensively for one month to build the first foundation of German. After completing A1.1, you can decide whether to continue with A1.2 later or take further guidance according to your availability.
School Bootcamps
What is the “Discover German” bootcamp?
Discover German is a beginner-friendly, on-campus language and culture bootcamp for school students with little or no prior German knowledge. It introduces the basics through interactive classroom activities, pronunciation practice, worksheets, songs, games, role plays, and cultural input, with the aim of creating a positive first experience with German.
How long is the bootcamp and what does it cost?
The recommended model runs for 2 weeks — 10 sessions total, 5 working days a week, 1 hour per session, on-campus, in a batch of 25 to 35 students. The fee is PKR 15,000 per student.
Who is the bootcamp designed for?
School students and beginners aged 16 to 19 who would like to explore German as an international language.
What happens after the bootcamp ends?
Interested students may continue with a structured German A1 course through German with Tayyaba. Students who develop a serious interest can continue their learning journey in a more detailed, level-based format — completing A1 is recommended, as German skills can add meaningful value to a student’s academic profile and open doors to future study and opportunities.
What does the school need to provide for a bootcamp?
The school is requested to provide a venue/classroom, a projector or smart screen, a strong internet connection, mic and sound/visual support where needed, printing and photocopying for worksheets and handouts, student registrations, and coordination support before and during the programme.
